Polysorbate-80 (also known as Tween 80) is a non-ionic surfactant, emulsifier, and solubilizer widely used in cosmetic and personal care formulations. It effectively blends oil and water without separation, making it an essential ingredient for oil-heavy and oil-in-water formulations.

This ingredient is stable, non-toxic, and odourless, and commonly used in cleansing oils, facial serums, makeup removers, bath bombs, and oil-based body scrubs. Polysorbate-80 also improves rinse-off performance, reducing greasy residue and enhancing skin feel.
