  • Get your wicks ready by putting the wick into the hole of the mold or stick it in the middle of the mold/container.
  • Clip the wick upright with plastic clip at the top of the mold/container if needed.
  • Heat wax direct over low fire or in a double boiler.
  • Be careful not to overheat wax.
  • Stir occasionally (overheated wax will discolour and/or burn your wax).
  • Remove wax from fire and allow wax to cool down for 5 minutes.
  • Add colour & fragrance or essential oil. (Oils will evaporate if the wax is too hot)
  • Stir and mix gently.
  • Gently pour the wax into mold.
  • Allow wax to set at room temperature and let it cure for 1-2 days.
  • Demold / remove from mold.

  • Use only candle approved dyes to ensure no toxins will be burnt during use
  • Use safe candle fragrance oils to ensure scent is safe for breathing in
  • Do not add plant powders, uncertified coloring powders that may be toxic or inhibit burning of flame
  • Never shut a candle with water, blow out the fire or cover flame to starve off oxygen
  • Using a good quality wick will ensure even flame, low soot and no harmful toxic residues
  • Make sure any botanical decorations are away from the wick so it will not catch fire
